"Let's Do Fika"

Fika is often translated as "a coffee and cake break", but it is so much more than that! Fika is a concept, a state of mind, an attitude, and an important part of Swedish culture.

Less pretentious then the British afternoon tea, it is a time to relax and socialize. 

It is so ingrained in the Swedish culture that some companies add a clause to contracts stating that employees are entitled to fika breaks. Even the Volvo plant stops for fika!
